Accept the Walk United Challenge!

Will you accept the Walk United Challenge and ask your friends, family, and networks to support you in completing the Walk United Challenge? Encourage them to do what you are about to do and start their own challenge!

Why? By accepting the Walk United Challenge you participate in a fundraiser for United Way of Northern California, to help provide resources to youth and children bullied because of diversity, skin color or back ground, right here in the North State.

The Walk United Challenge runs from Saturday August 15 - Sunday August 30th, 2020.

This is how this works:

Pick a walking partner. Be creative, FaceTime, Zoom or Instagram video a friend and walk virtually together. Or walk United with your dog or a household member.
Agree on a distance to walk United to your walking partner, you can add a challenge and physically unite like you would in a three legged race.
Set a fundraising goal. Money raised supports United Way of Northern CA's social justice and equity work among youth and children in the North State.
Share this fundraising page and add your personalized goals on your social media platforms and ask friends, family and networks to donate to your goal. (your walking buddy does not need to register, they can share your link)
Keep track of your distance on an app and Walk United with your (virtual) walking partner (make a photo or video!)
Share your results on social media and tag @NorCalUnitedWay and #WalkUnitedChallenge. Include a screenshot of your accomplished distance!

Don't forget to tag or hashtag @NorcalUnitedWay and #WalkUnitedChallenge

And the more you raise the more chances you and your partner get to win a $100 Target gift card each!!

Raise $40+ and receive a participation certificate and two t-shirts
Raise $100+ and receive 1 additional entry into the drawing, a participation certificate and two t-shirts
Raise $200+ and receive 2 additional entries into the drawing, a participation certificate and two t-shirts
Raise $300+ and receive 3 additional entries into the drawing, a participation certificate, two t-shirts and two hats
Raise $400+ and receive 4 additional entries into the drawing, a participation certificate, two t-shirts and two hats
For each additional $100 raised over $500, two (2) additional drawing entries will be added.

This challenge is fun, can be accomplished in- or outdoor and people of all ages can participate. Keep each other safe by choosing a virtual walking partner or someone from your household, wear a mask and practice social distancing with others while outdoors.
